Hello there! Welcome to Addiction to Gaming's official blog. Here, you can expect to find news about the comunity, its players, events, and more. Before we get ahead of ourselves, though, for those of you unfamiliar with us, ATG is a gaming clan/community that is primarily based around Valve's Team Fortress 2. However, we enjoy playing all sorts of games with each other and talk about a variety of stuff (technology, music, movies, etc.) on our forums. While we are collectively dedicated to playing well as a community and plenty of our members have even dabbled in the competitive scene, ATG is, above all, a community made up of people who love to play video games and want to make some friends in the process. We are always looking for new members--beginners and pros alike.
As far as the blog is concerned, as of right now, it has two writers: myself (Tobuoi) and Lord Melchior. To get things started, we thought we'd tell you a little bit about ourselves.
Lord Melchior:
"Hey there! I'm Lord Melchior; admin at ATG and an avid Sniper player. I usually play on our Zombie Fortress server, but I occassionally play with everyone else on Badwater as well. I'm Dutch, but that's no reason to excuse my English. I'm quite the sophisticated English linguist. Apart from playing Team Fortress 2, I have various other hobbies, including video editing, music-making, voice-acting, game design, 3D modeling, drawing, and virtual design. I'm still in high school, but I'm aiming to study Psychology and specialize myself in online behaviour/teenage lifestyle. "Hola. My Steam screen name is "[ATG] Tobuoi" but I'm most commonly referred to as "T". The correct pronunciation of my name seems to be somewhat of a mystery to most people online, but I'll respond to pretty much anything if you say it enough times (fun fact: it's pronounced "T'OH-boo-oy"). I'm an admin and part of ATG's community team. I play almost exclusively on our Badwater server and main a Backburner Pyro. Aside from TF2, I thoroughly enjoy tearing it up in Left 4 Dead 2, sucking at Starcraft II, and playing a wide variety of PlayStation games. I graduated from high school back in '09 and will be starting school at a media arts school called Tribeca Flashpoint for game development in the fall. In addition to this blog, I write one about video games: Frag, Pwn, and Reload.
